I am a multilingual editor (German, Spanish, Portuguese & English) with a business background. I have a Master of Business Administration and I studied in Munich, Chile and Argentina.
Film editing is a passion for me. That’s why I quit my corporate job to dedicate my life, what I love to do. My first edited feature film as a lead editor "Ausgrissn - In der Lederhosn nach Las Vegas" has been released in Bavarian theaters during the pandemic in 2020. It is a hybrid: A travel documentary film combined with a fictional part. With Paramount Picture as our distribution partner 50.000 moviegoers saw this feature length documentary in Bavaria, Germany.
My business background is very useful to approach and structure a huge amount of footage (e.g. for a feature film over 500 hours) in an analytical way. I am a process optimizer & workflow specialist. Inspired by gamers I implemented by myself a time-saving tool (shortcut macros) for automating redundant work steps in AVID Media Composer. This helps me to focus and dedicate my time to visual storytelling.
Improving the editing workflow is quite important to me and that’s why I worked in many countries to see the diversity and benefit from these lessons. During my work in India, London, Brazil, Colombia and more I had the opportunity to get an insight of many work styles and workflows. In Las Vegas I attended several master classes, like „Master the Workflow“ at AVID Connect or „Pushing Boundaries in Post Procuction ‚Mindhunter‘“ at the NAB Show. At the International Film Festival of New Latin America Cinema in Cuba I got a special insight of the two master classes of Brian de Palma and Oliver Stone. Listening to Podcasts like „Art of the Cut“ or „The Rought Cut“ helps me being up to date.
But now let’s cut the talk!
